Modern Warfare 3 Season 1 Reloaded Release Date
Modern Warfare 3 Season 1 Reloaded will begin on January 17, 2024, at 9 AM PT / 12 PM ET / 5 PM GMT. The update will be available on both consoles and PCs at the same time, so you don’t have to worry about your friends starting the fun before you.
Modern Warfare 3‘s Season 1 update was released on December 6, 2023, and it brought a plethora of content. The new additions in the MW3 Season 1 update included new maps, weapon buffs, and nerfs, while Modern Warfare 3‘s Season 1 Vortex War’s Domain event brought additional free rewards.
Although the developers have confirmed the release date, the Modern Warfare 3 Season 1 Battle Pass also has a Classified sector that will simultaneously be going live on the same date as the update. This was disclosed at the same time as the release date.
Modern Warfare 3 Season 1 Reloaded New Maps and Modes
Modern Warfare 3 Season 1 Reloaded will be introducing a new 6v6 map called Rio, prevailing in an “upscale shopping center” in Rio de Janeiro. This average-sized map has both an inside location within a shopping mall and an outside location within the exterior streets, with a covered walkway and the top of a garage offering high altitude.
The Modern Warfare 3 Season 1 Reloaded update will also introduce two new firearms to expand the game’s weapon equipment list further. The new weapons being added to the game with the upcoming update include the HRM-9 SMG and TAQ Evolvere LMG.
Modern Warfare 3 Season 1 Reloaded New Modes
Three new modes will be ushered in with the Modern Warfare 3‘s Season 1 Reloaded update, including some cherished by players. Although minor, the Zombies game mode will be getting a new Warlord to challenge in the form of Dokkaebi.
For those who are interested in multiplayer game modes, the new game modes coming to Modern Warfare 3 include:
The iconic crowd-pleaser Infected might be debuting in Modern Warfare 3, but it’s a known mode for fans of the previous entries in the Call of Duty series. The Infected mode grants a single player at random to spawn the role of infected.
The infected player will have the objective to eliminate all of the non-infected players and the non-infected players can only use a default loadout to defend themselves. However, the infected can also infect non-infected players, adding them to the infected team.
Basically, if you’ve played the iconic game Among Us then you’ll know exactly what you’re getting yourself into with this mode. The only difference is that instead of multiple tasks, the non-infected players just have to take down the infected ones.
Another beloved game mode to be returning in Modern Warfare 3 is Headquarters. In this iconic game mode, players have the primary objective to hold and protect a selected location for as long as possible.
Now, some of you might be thinking that’s the same as, say, Capture the Flag. However, one major difference between the two modes is that the Headquarter team briefed with defending will have respawns disabled, which means it’ll be a one and done situation if you fall.
Similar to other objective modes, the headquarters locations will randomly change around the map throughout the match. This will force players to adapt to the circumstances on the run instead of setting up base in just one place.
You’ve played Gunfight before. Well, Team Gunfight is a 6v6 version of Gunfight, but it’s played on standard Multiplayer maps instead of the smaller maps that the regular Gunfight mode gets.
Every player in the game will receive the same randomized loadout at the start of each round, and both teams will get a set amount of time to take down everyone else from the enemy team with respawn disabled. The loadout will continue to change throughout the match, and the first team to reach the elimination objective wins.
Modern Warfare 3 Season 1 Reloaded The Boys Crossover Details
The Modern Warfare 3 Season 1 Reloaded update will also bring a crossover event with the hit TV series The Boys. This limited time event will allow players to acquire free rewards that will be unlocked as the player progresses through it.
The event will come with a limited-time mode, which will be a superior version of Kill Confirmed inspired by the hit TV series The Boys.” Instead of tags, Temp V doses will be dropped as loot upon the death of players. The Temp V doses will then subsequently boost the power of players temporarily while every player races to reach the score limit first.
At the same time, the “The Boys: Supe Siege” event will allow players to accumulate some additional The Boys-themed free prizes. Two new Operators, A-Train and Firecracker, will also be up for grabs, as players will have the opportunity to purchase them while the event goes on.
